What are the trash and recycling drop-off hours?
Waste Management is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. The transfer station and recycling drop-off center are located on the corner of St. Route 28 and Sweetwater Road in Incline Village, Nevada.

When is trash collected?
Trash is collected weekly for residential customers by Waste Management.

My trash/recycling pick up was missed!
All District customers can contact Waste Management at (775) 831-2971.

I visit only on weekends, how do I properly contain my trash?
Trash must be contained at all times. To help residents and visitors properly contain their waste, Waste Management is open weekends. Residents may bring up to two bags of trash per week free of charge. Consider a wildlife garbage can enclosure; call the WASTE NOT HOTLINE at (775) 832-1284 for more information.

Where do I take television sets/computer monitors?  Is there a charge?
Televisions must be disposed of through Waste Management. They will accept one television per residential customer. There is a charge of $25. They are not recycled.

Free Electronics Recycling is available for: computer monitors; computer CPU towers; scanners, printers, cables, stereos, cell phones, phones, etc. These can be dropped off  at the IVGID Public Works Building (1220 Sweetwater)  during Household Hazardous Waste collection hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm, or by special arrangement by calling (775) 832-1284.

Where do I take large appliances? Is there a charge?
Large appliances may be recycled at Waste Management. The charge is $25 There is a $20 charge for Freon disposal and a $1.00 environmental fee.
