Most search engines will bring up good listings of available accommodation in this area under "rentals", "North Lake Tahoe" and "Incline Village".
Expect to pay $400 - $500 per person a month for rent. It is common to have to pay the first month's rent and a security deposit upon signing a rental agreement.
Summer Staff Housing 2009
Open to IVGID seasonal staff who are high school graduates. Graduates under 18 addressed on a case by case basis.
Dorm rooms are available at Sierra Nevada College from June 1 – August 2. The dorms are co-ed and rooms are 3 or 4 person occupancy – same sex. Due to the limited number of rooms, there will be no single rooms available, no exceptions. Each room has a closet and is furnished with extra long twin beds, dressers, desks, a microwave and a small refrigerator. There is a cable hookup, internet connection and a phone for local calls. If you would like to place long distance calls you will need a calling card. The lounge in the dorm has a ping-pong table, big screen TV, foosball and vending machines.
Fees:
- Security Deposit: $250/refundable. Payable to SNC upon reservation.
- Cleaning Deposit: $100/refundable. Pay SNC upon check-in.
- Rent: $50 per pay period – deducted from paycheck. Please note meals (continental breakfast, box lunch) are included in the cost of the rooms for five days a week.
Priority of room availability is first come, first serve for seasonal staff
Other:
- Alcohol and smoking are NOT allowed – even if you are of legal age
- $15 charge to replace lost keys
- Must clean own bedroom and bathroom and provide own sheets and towels
- Housing agreements are subject to SNC housing department’s rules and regulations
1) Contact your hiring supervisor if you are interested in a dorm room and they will advise Human Resources.
2) You may then contact Susan Johnson in Human Resources (775) 832-1263 to reserve a room. Susan will notify SNC to coordinate assignment of rooms.
Housing provided through Sierra Nevada College, but as an IVGID employee you represent the District at all times. Please act appropriately!

San Francisco, CA or Sacramento, CA. The Reno/Tahoe International Airport (NV) is approximately 40 minutes from Tahoe.

North Lake Tahoe Express offers scheduled, VIP airport service from3:30am until11:00 pm to and from the North Lake Tahoe region and Reno/Tahoe International Airport everyday!
